The Challenge: A Custom Coffee Cart in 3 Days ⏱️
When Shoe Palace contacted us asking to have us out for their midnight launch of the new Jordan XI “Gamma”, we knew we are in for a late night of great drinks and fun interactions. The only problem: It was in 3 days. Not many coffee carts can provide full custom branding in less than 2 weeks but we were up for a challenge. “Let’s make them think we’d been working on this for months!”
A Midnight Coffee Catering Experience 🌑
The idea of a midnight launch is not a new concept. Brands have been doing midnight launches for years, decades even. But why are they effective? Midnight launches prove the concept that customers want an experience with their transaction. When you pull an all-nighter with your closest friends to get the newest phone, sneakers, or bag, you are tying an experience to that transaction. Our coffee cart turned up the hype with full custom branding and kept customers awake who had been waiting in line since 3 PM that afternoon.
Beating the Shot Clock with a Premium Feel 🚤
The key to being able to execute premium branding on a short timeline like this is having a great network and great systems. Once we got the booking, we immediately reached out to our local printing company to get the customizations done. The only problem: Their printer was out sick that day. Plan B! We found next day shipping on the stickers for cups and started calling around everywhere for the custom cart that would meet our standards. On the event day it looked amazing as always and no one needed to know the behind-the-scenes (except you 😉). Another flawless event!
